GreenVolt – Energias Renováveis, S.A. decided to proceed to the construction phase in two projects in Poland with a total capacity of 59 MW, distributed between wind, solar and storage. Both assets are expected to be sold in the course of 2023.

The first project, named “Sompolno”, is located in Sompolno (central-western Poland) and has 26 MW of Wind capacity, 10 MW for Solar and 3 MW for Storage, being the expected Commercial Operational Date (COD) the first half of 2024.

The second project, “Opalenica”, is located near Opalenica city (central-western Poland) and consists of three solar parks, with a total capacity of 20 MW. With the initiation of the construction stage, the expected COD is to be achieved in the third quarter of 2023.

In both cases, it is GreenVolt’s intention to sell the assets even before the COD phase, in response to existing market demand, but also in compliance with the strategic plan presented to Its investors. Both projects are expected to be sold in 2023.

The decision to build these two projects in Poland is completely in line with GreenVolt’s strategy of taking advantage of the high demand for assets ready to operate, confirming the capacity of our team to develop projects until the construction stage and generate value through our asset rotation strategy”, states João Manso Neto, CEO of GreenVolt.
