GreenVolt – Energias Renováveis, S.A. decided to proceed with the issuance of a green bond loan for retail investors, an operation that has an initial global value of up to €100 million. The Greenvolt Green Bonds 2027, intended to finance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, offer a gross annual interest rate of 5.20%.
The offer is aimed at the public, specifically targeting natural or legal persons resident or established in Portugal. Up to 200,000 GreenVolt bonds will be issued, with each security having a nominal unit value of €500.
The initial global value of this operation, which aims to obtain financing and/or refinancing of new and/or existing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, is up to €100 million. This amount may be increased, at GreenVolt’s option, upon publication of an addendum to the Prospectus approved by the CMVM and published by 9 November 2022, inclusive.
The bonds have a term of five years, with a gross annual interest rate of 5.20%, with interest payments to be made every six months. Interest, calculated on the basis of 30-day months and a 360-day year, will be due semi-annually and in arrears on May 18 and November 18 of each year until the final repayment of the Greenvolt 2027 Green Bonds.
Investors wishing to participate in this operation may transmit the subscription order to any of the placing banks or to any other financial intermediary authorized to provide the registration service for book-entry securities. Each subscription order must be presented in amount and refer to at least 5 Greenvolt 2027 Green Bonds (€2,500) and, from that minimum amount, may refer to multiples of 1 Greenvolt 2027 Green Bond (€500).
Orders can be submitted from 2 November. The offer period is 10 working days and runs between 8:30 am on November 2nd and 3:00 pm on November 15th, 2022. The results of the offer, as well as any apportionment, will be processed and determined in a special session to calculate results of the offer, to be carried out by Euronext on 16 November 2022.
