The Greenvolt Group, through Greenvolt Next Portugal, has officially closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Ibérica Renovables, allowing it to accelerate the growth in Distributed Generation of renewable energy both in Portugal and Spain.
Greenvolt Next Portugal now controls 75% of the Spanish company specialized in installing solar solutions for self-consumption but also in the construction of large-scale photovoltaic plants (Utility Scale) on a turnkey basis.
This is “another step in the right direction for Greenvolt Next Portugal, which with Ibérica Renovables will be able to reinforce its capacity to deliver renewable energy solutions, allowing it to respond to the growing demand we are witnessing”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of the Greenvolt Group.
The company based in Seville, Spain, installed a total of 184 MWp in Portugal and Spain in 2022. Currently, Greenvolt Next Portugal’s backlog exceeds 140 MWp, with the prospect of an acceleration in the pace of delivery of renewable energy solutions as a result of this acquisition, which will further reduce the time between the award and installation of projects.
