The Greenvolt Group continues to expand its operations across the country, now reaching the Autonomous Region of the Azores with an offer of solar energy solutions for business self-consumption, but also with Utility Scale projects.
The Azores now have a team specialized in renewable energy solutions on site. In addition to the 1.2 MWp already built in São Miguel and Terceira, it has more than a dozen solar energy projects for self-consumption already closed with several Azorean companies, from São Miguel to Pico, passing through Faial, for a total of more of 3.4 MWp.
Through the holding company, we are beginning the construction of a Photovoltaic Plant with around 8,000 solar panels, which will have a production capacity of 4.5 MWp. The more than 6,000 MWh/year of renewable energy that will be generated from solar irradiation will be injected into the energy grid on the island of São Miguel.
“We arrived in the Azores with projects that we have already completed and others in an advanced stage of implementation, but with the ambition of strengthening our presence in this market, helping it to take concrete steps in the energy transition”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of the Greenvolt Group.
